Membership Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
- IF CURRENTLY ON ACTIVE DUTY:
Have served for a period exceeding 180 days, and have a letter from your Command Personnel Office, so stating.
- IF ACTIVE OR INACTIVE RESERVIST:
The totality of all your active-time must exceed 180 days, and you must be eligible for veterans' benefits.
- IF DISCHARGED OR RETIRED:
Have a DD-214, and have served 180 days or more in an active duty status. Have full rights to veterans benefits and have received an Honorable Discharge* from the United States Military.
- HAVE A VALID MOTORCYCLE OPERATORS LICENSE.
- PAY MONTHLY DUES.
- BE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE CLUB AND IT'S ACTIVITIES, MEETINGS AND RIDES.
- HAVE A MOTORCYCLE WITH AN ENGINE DISPLACEMENT LARGER THEN 750 CC**
Path to Membership
- PROSPECT:
A person who has expressed a desire to become a member of the U.S. Military Vets/MC. All Prospects must attend a minimum of two meetings* and be present for a minimum of two rides* before they will be considered for advancement. All Prospects sign for a booklet of "BY-LAWS", which are the rules of the club. You must be familiar with them.
- PROBATE:
A person who has successfully completed the Prospect phase. Probates are given their "ROCKERS." Probates must attend a minimum of four meetings and be present for four rides (the rides and meetings in the prospect phase do not count).
- FULL PATCH MEMBER:
A person who successfully completes the Probate phase is issued his "EAGLE" and is considered a full patch member of the club. Entitled to all the rights and privileges.
- DUES:
Upon reaching Probate status the candidate will start to pay monthly dues.
* All minimums mentioned above are just that... "Minimums". These periods may be extended if found to be justified. The ruling of the Field Training Officer (FTO) is final.
